Welcome to my practice

It is my privilege to work with you.

I have extensive experience in psychopharmacology and many of the primary schools of psychotherapy as well as focused training in substance abuse, pain, and psychological testing. Before completing my residency in Psychiatry, my training included a rigorous intern year in Internal Medicine and transitional year in Neuroradiology and Neurology.

It is astonishing the changes that the human body and mind are undergoing at this current time further revealing their inexplicable subtlety and complexity.

The rapid acceleration of technological development in all domains, social media, connectivity, and increasing population growth are exerting themselves in many ways. The cultural changes appear to be rapid and profound. At the same time, the essential human experience of seeking well-being and freedom from suffering in work, love, and play has not changed.

The importance of adequately addressing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs has never been more important to general health, social functioning, performance, and happiness quotients.

Clinical Experience

My clinical and research experience has been wide-ranging from small mental health clinics in South Africa to sophisticated neuro-imaging facilities at the University of Michigan and UCSF. For the last several years, I have worked in many inpatient psychiatric facilities and outpatient clinics across the disease and socioeconomic spectrum.

Since my first year at Georgetown University School of Medicine, I have engaged in various seminars and training programs that fall into the general category of complementary and alternative medicine. I am also an avid student and practitioner of Yoga and meditation.
